Sild / Brisling Sardines / Sprats
Brisling sardines are tiny delicious fish caught in the icy waters of the North Atlantic during prime winter catching months. Naturally rich in omega 3 and considered by epicures globally as the best sardine type product in their category.
These small succulent sardines are traditionally hand packed where they are interwoven in the can to produce an extremely appetising and appealing product. Brisling sardines can be unsmoked, lightly smoked or traditionally oak-smoked; when producing smoked products we use woodchips from a combination of ‘Douglas Fir’, Oak, and ‘Beech. These products are produced in a variety of oils, spring water, tomato or other added value sauces to tantalise the taste buds.
